What’s automatic, and what depends on ChatGPT
ChatGPT decides when to call Cranes. Cranes asks it to check before work where your thinking could matter and to stay out of general questions. To be sure it checks, type @cranes; on its own, it checks the work against your thinking. See When Cranes comes in.
To make it more reliable, copy the line under Have your AI use Cranes on its own on Take it with you into a ChatGPT project’s instructions or your custom instructions.
What it can do and keep is the same as any other AI connected at that address. See What your AI can do with Cranes and What connected AIs keep.
