Read your thinking inside your AI

Open your contents and pages in a small reader inside Claude or Cursor, work through what needs you, and start from Cranes’s shortcuts.

Ask your AI for your contents, a page, or what needs you. In apps that can show it, Cranes opens a small reader right in the conversation. Elsewhere you get the same as text.

The reader

Apps that can show MCP Apps, like Claude and Cursor 2.6 and later, show the reader. It follows the app’s light or dark theme.

  • Workspaces: each workspace your AI may use. Choose one to open its contents.
  • Contents: the team’s topics, then each group’s, then your own, each topic with its pages. Choose a page to read it.
  • A page: the page as it reads in Cranes, on paper in Cranes’s serif. Ask about this starts a conversation about it; Back returns to where you were.
  • What needs you: pages shared with you, findings and corrections from groups, questions from the team, and sources that stopped. Work through it asks your AI to help with that item; Leave it as it is settles it.

The reader shows only what that AI may use, and never entries kept off connected AIs.

Shortcuts

Apps that list MCP prompts, often as slash commands or in a prompt menu, show five from Cranes:

  • What changed in my thinking: what changed lately in your thinking and the team’s, and what’s worth your attention. You can say how far back.
  • What needs me in Cranes: walks through what needs you.
  • Tidy my thinking: looks over your topics and pages and suggests renames, moves, and archives for you to confirm. Nothing changes until you do.
  • How my team is doing in Cranes: people, groups, sources, and what the team’s thinking is learning.
  • Bring something into Cranes: adds notes, a decision, or a document to your thinking, the team’s, or a group’s.

Attach your thinking

Apps that let you attach things from a connected server can attach a workspace’s contents, a whole thinking, your skills, or a page, topic, or entry from Cranes, so your AI reads it as part of the conversation. Only what that AI may use is offered.
