Choose what an AI can use

Every connected AI can use only the thinking you chose for it. Change that any time from Settings › Connections.

Change what it can use

1. Open the account menu and choose Settings, then Connections.
2. Choose Edit beside the AI.
3. Check or uncheck your own thinking, the team’s, and each group in this workspace.
4. Set Include groups you join later and Keep my own ideas as you like.
5. Choose Save.

Settings only shows and changes the workspace you’re in. To change what an AI can use in another workspace, switch to it from the account menu first. If an AI isn’t listed at all, it’s probably connected to a different workspace.

It takes effect on the AI’s very next request. At least one thing has to stay checked; to cut an AI off completely, revoke it instead.

Disconnect an AI

In Settings › Connections, choose Revoke beside it and confirm. The AI loses access right away. Anything it already added to Cranes stays as entries, and you can remove those from that thinking’s Entries page.

Groups

A group is available to an AI only when you name the group in a conversation, like @cranes design group, and only when it’s allowed. Three settings decide that:

• Yours. On the group’s People page, the Connected AIs section has a switch for each of your connected AIs.
• The group’s creator. They can keep the group off everyone’s connected AIs with Everyone’s connected AIs can use ….
• The team. In a team workspace, owners and admins choose in Settings › Groups whether groups start on, start off, or always stay off connected AIs.

If any of these is off, the AI is told the group isn’t available, and nothing is kept there.

When you join or leave

Access is checked on every request, so joining or leaving a team or group takes effect immediately. If Include groups you join later is on, a group you join is ready to use as soon as you name it.
