Emails from Cranes
What we send, how often, and how to turn off the updates.
We keep email to a minimum. None of it includes the text of your chapters: just their titles, and for a redrafted chapter, a short note on why it changed.
What we send

Turn off the daily updates
What changed in your thinking is on unless you turn it off. Either:
- open Settings › Account and turn off Email me what changed in my thinking, or
- choose unsubscribe at the bottom of any of those emails, then Stop these emails.
Turn it back on in the same place in Settings whenever you like. Account emails, like password resets, can’t be turned off, because they only come when you ask for them.
Why an update might not come
The update waits until your thinking has been quiet for an hour, so you get one tidy summary instead of several. It covers changes that came from what you said, in threads or through a connected AI. Changes that came only from bringing in history don’t trigger one (you get the first-chapters email for those), and neither do changes to the team’s or a group’s thinking.
