Highlight a passage
Mark the lines that matter to you, and know when one of them changes.
Select a few words or more within one paragraph of any chapter, and a Highlight button appears. Choose it, and the passage is marked in yellow.
Only you see your highlights, even on shared thinking. To remove one, click the highlighted passage and choose Remove highlight.
When a highlighted passage changes
Highlights follow the text when a chapter is redrafted. If the passage you marked is rewritten or gone, the chapter lists it at the bottom under A passage you highlighted changed, with Cranes’ note on what changed and why. Read it, then choose Let go to clear it.
Highlights are for you. Cranes doesn’t treat them as evidence, and they don’t change what a chapter says.
