Grok

Add Cranes to Grok as a custom connector at grok.com/connectors, sign in, and type @cranes when you want your thinking.

What you get

Grok can bring your thinking into a conversation when you ask, and save to Cranes when you say so.

Set up

  1. In Cranes, choose Use in other AIs in the sidebar.
  2. Under Add an AI, on the Grok card, choose Open Grok connectors. Or go to grok.com/connectors.
  3. In Grok, choose New Connector, then Custom.
  4. Paste https://usecranes.com/connect/mcp as the server address.

In Grok Business and Enterprise, an admin may need to allow connectors before members can add one. Check with yours.

Sign in

Grok sends you to Cranes. On Connect Grok to Cranes, check what Grok may use, choose whether to Keep my own ideas, and choose Allow. You’re sent back to Grok. See Choose what it can use.

What’s automatic, and when you ask

  • Your thinking comes in when you ask. Type @cranes, or ask what your thinking says. @cranes on its own checks the work in front of Grok against your thinking.
  • Saving waits for your yes. Ask Grok to save something, or say yes when it offers.
  • To skip typing @cranes, if your Grok lets you set instructions, add the line under Have your AI use Cranes on its own on Use in other AIs.
