Choose what a thread draws on

In a team workspace, each of your threads can draw on your own thinking, the team’s, or both. The Draws on control in the thread’s bar sets it:

• Yours: your own thinking in this team.
• The team’s: the team’s shared thinking.
• Yours and the team’s: both.

Threads start by drawing on yours. A thread started from Not quite right? on one of the team’s chapters, or from Start a thread on the team’s empty front page, draws on the team’s. Changing it affects replies from then on, not ones already written.

In your personal workspace there’s nothing to choose, so the control doesn’t appear.

Group threads

A thread in a group doesn’t have Draws on. Its bar says which group it’s in instead. Group threads draw on the group’s thinking, plus the team’s in a team workspace, and never on anyone’s own, because everyone in the group reads the replies.
