Bring in pages from Notion
Connect Notion, share only the pages you want, and bring them in once.
Cranes can read Notion pages and databases that you share with it, and nothing else. It only reads; it never changes anything in Notion.
Steps
- Open Bring history and choose Notion.
- Notion opens its own permission screen. Pick the pages and databases Cranes may see, and allow access. Sharing a parent page includes everything beneath it.
- Back in Cranes, choose one:
- Everything I shared starts bringing in every page and database Cranes can see, right away.
- Choose pages lists them under Shared with Cranes. Tick the ones you want, then choose Bring it in.
Each shared page becomes its own entry, with the text of pages nested inside it included. Each row of a shared database becomes its own entry too. Long pages are split at paragraph breaks.
It’s a one-time import
Cranes brings in the pages as they are at that moment. It doesn’t keep syncing, so later edits in Notion won’t appear on their own. To bring in newer versions, run Bring history again.
If something goes wrong

| Nothing shared yet | You didn’t share any pages in Notion’s screen. Go back through Notion’s permission screen and pick some, then choose Refresh. |
| Some selected Notion pages are no longer shared | Someone changed the sharing in Notion. Choose Refresh and pick again. |
| No readable Notion content was found | The pages you shared are empty, or hold nothing Cranes can read as text. Share pages with writing in them. |
| Notion was not connected | You closed Notion’s screen before allowing access. Try again, or pick another source. |
Disconnect Notion
Go to Settings › Connections and choose Revoke beside Notion. Pages you already brought in stay as entries until you remove them from your Entries page.
